People of Daily Life
The people who lived at my Mission were the Spanish, the Franciscans, and the Chumash. The Chumash were experienced fisherman and boat builders. This helped them have a ocean based economy for the mission. They also weaved baskets and made soap. They used the resources of the region to harvest olives, grapes, and corn. The Chumash Indians were the only Indians in the Coastal region. They used their enviroment to help them live, eat, and prosper.
